We hereby cordially invite you to participate in a book presentation and discussion „Building Peace Together: a practical resource”. It features the recently released report under the same title, published by the Quaker Council for European Affairs (QCEA), which is currently being presented in different European capitals, including Berlin.
The event will take place on:
Monday, 10 December 2018
from 11:30am to 2pm (followed by a light lunch)
in the Ecumenical Centre – Berliner Missionswerk (House 1)
Georgenkirchstr. 70, 10249 Berlin

QCEA’s Building Peace Together, makes the case for peacebuilding and suggests that it is everyone’s business. The report provides 40 peacebuilding tools across 11 sectors such as security, justice, the environment and education. Its 80 concrete examples show that civil society, the private sector, religious and Government actors have a role to play in building peace and preventing conflict around the world.
This event will be an opportunity to think practically of the implementation of the German Policy Guidelines on Preventing Crises, Resolving Conflicts and Building Peace in the field by focusing on ways that civil society and the Government can work together. We are particularly proud to present you as participants in the panel discussion Mr Ottmar von Holtz, MP; Dr Angela Mickley (Potsdam University of Applied Science) and Mr Christian Resch (Unit for Crisis prevention, stabilisation, post-conflict peacebuilding (German Federal Foreign Office).
